Jazz by Conspiracy Studio

I generally prefer darker backgrounds, but I spotted this one at Poolga.com today and think it’s quite appealing.

It’s called Jazz, and it’s by Conspiracy Studios.

Featured iPhone Theme: Matte Nano

Posted by: admin  /  Category: General

People seem to really like the matted look. There are at least four Matte themes available on Cydia, although only Matte Nano seems to actually skin my icons. I use Matte Graphite to theme my UI elements (pop-ups, SMS bubbles, etc. ) but it doesn’t seem to do anything for my Springboard, which is strange.
Matte Nano works and is gorgeous, but not without a few problems of its own. There’s some strange text that hovers above my camera icon, and since none of the other icons feature text I can only assume it’s a bug. In addition, some icons used a little cheat and feature black backgrounds instead of transparent ones. This means they’ll stick out like a sore thumb if you’ve got a Springboard background that isn’t pure black. These are pretty small errors, though, and I’m sure they can be fixed if someone reports them.
In the meantime, you can find all of the Matte themes on Cydia.

Pogo Sketch stylus

I was really curious about the Pogo Sketch iPhone stylus when I first heard about it, so when I was offered the chance to review it by the Max Borges agency, the fact that it was the “hot pink” version of the product didn’t really register. That’s okay, though, because as long as I punch a live bear in the stomach every few days and stay unshaven, I can still feel like a man despite the fact that my dainty fingers are wrapped around a $15 aluminum stylus in a (surprisingly gorgeous) hot pink.

Verizon Droid iDoesn’t Beat iPhone on Browser, Apps, Multi-touch or User Interface

Posted by: admin  /  Category: General

Did Verizon and Motorola forget to include a few things in their iDon’t attack ads, like iDon’t render web pages as slowly or badly, iDon’t arbitrarily restrict the amount of apps users can install to 256MB, iDon’t fail to implement multi-touch, and iDon’t have a worse user experience.

We can’t blame them, of course. They were [...]

Beyond iPhone: Apple TV 3.0 First Impressions and Screenshot Gallery

Apple TV 3.0 (or Apple TV 3, or Apple TV Take 3) is the just-released third version of Apple’s and Steve Jobs’ “hobby”. And, for good or for ill, its latest feature-set seems designed to keep iTunes’ living room gateway as niche as ever. That’s not to say it isn’t good, because it is (though [...]
