According to MCV, Richard Teversham, Microsoft’s senior director of business, insights and strategy for Xbox will be leaving the firm for a position at Apple. Teversham has apparently accepted an ‘education-related’ role at Apple’s European office. He worked for Microsoft for over 15 years and held the role of Xbox director for platform and marketing between 2005 and 2007 before becoming strategy boss.

A Microsoft spokesperson told MCV this week: “We can confirm that Richard Teversham, director of business, insights and strategy, has taken a new opportunity outside of Microsoft. A process is underway for recruiting his replacement.”

With Apple’s achieved success in not only mobile applications, but gaming on the iPhone and iPod Touch, could they finally be taking this sector seriously? While his role at Apple still remains unclear, it is apparent that they will begin focusing their efforts towards the gaming industry.

Bad news for those of you who’ve been drooling to play Peggle on the iPhone. As you may have noticed, it didn’t come out in March as we were originally told. The good news is that our friends at Joystiq have gotten a new date for the addictive PopCap game’s release on the App Store, and it’s close. The game will be out, we’re being told, on May 12th. There’s no price given yet, but we’re with Joystiq on this one too: it probably won’t be as low at 99 cents. At $9.99, it would probably be worth it (Peggle is awesome) but pricey — we’re guessing the price will end up right around $4.99.

Joystiq’s been playing the game too (lucky peg-hitters), and while they are saving their full impressions for an upcoming review, they hint that the game won’t disappoint. We can’t wait — even though Peggle is pretty much everywhere already, from the Mac to Xbox Live to the classic iPod and even in World of Warcraft, there’s still room for a little portable Peggle in our lives.

CEO Barry Diller says Yahoo’s site would augment IAC’s Match.com business.

i currently have a iPhone 3G and the pics are ok but i would like something i could shove my sim card in when i wont want to carry my iphone with me. i don't want to spend more than $300 on it. oh and i don't mind buying a unlocked phone.

I want a new cell phone desperately, but I just can’t decide between the Blackberry Bold, Blackberry 8900/Curve II or the iPhone 3g. The things about the phone that are important to me are:

I don't want to spend too much at the beginning. Can I use the 1st/2nd Generation iPhones, or even iPod Touch?
